I couldn't find Yorba Linda, but I did find that it snowed 10 times in Los Angeles (most often just a trace) between 1922 and 1962. The fact that no snow has been recorded in the last 45 years makes me wonder if it is further evidence of global warming. I have provided a link to the source. First, Remove as much snow from in the truck using a broom or brush. Then use a wet dry vac to remove as much moisture as possible. Place a small ceramic heater on the floorboard and plug it into an extension cord to allow the heat to dry the upholstery. You want the inside of the truck to get as warn as you can. Crack one window to allow the warm moist air to escape. If you have a garage or carport, you can also use a fan to assist in drying. You do not say what is wrong with your door latch, but one common thing is for the latch mechanism to be tripped to the closed position while the door is open. To fix this, take a screwdriver and while you are pulling on the door handle, pull the latching mechanism open.
